Power Yoga
Power yoga is a general term used in the West to describe a vigorous, fitness-based approach to vinyasa-style yoga. Most power yoga is closely modeled on the Ashtanga style of practice. The term “power yoga” came into common usage in the mid 1990s, when several yoga teachers were looking for a way to make Ashtanga yoga more accessible to western students. Unlike Ashtanga, power yoga does not follow a set series of poses. Therefore, any power yoga class can vary widely from tone teacher to the next. What they have in common is an emphasis on strength and flexibility. This can be offered in a heated or non-heated room.

Vinyasa Yoga
Vinyasa is a term that covers a broad range of yoga classes. The word Vinyasa means “breath-synchronized movement.” In other words, the teacher will instruct you to move from one pose to the next on an inhale or an exhale. This technique is sometimes also called Vinyasa Flow, or just Flow because of the smooth way that the poses run together and become like a dance. A Cat-Cow Stretch is an example of a very simple Vinyasa, because the spine is arched on an inhale and rounded on an exhale. A Sun Salutation sequence is an example of a more complex Vinyasa. Each movement in the series is done in concert with your breath, on an inhalation or an exhalation. This class conducted at room temp, it is not a heated class.

Warm Cycle
Indoor Cycling is an intense, low-impact, high-energy aerobic exercise that burns an average of 450-800 calories per hour-long class. This makes it a very efficient fat burning form of exercise. Because it is low impact, cyclists with joint related injuries, and/or weaknesses, find it very appealing, as one is able to experience a high intensity workout without the wear and tear many high impact aerobic exercises yield. Teachers cleverly design each class to create the perfect interval training session, using music and their own personalized teaching style to encourage you to sweat. The room temperature of a Classic Cycle class is set at an approximately comfortable room temperature of 68 °F. During our “Warm Cycle” class, the room will be set at a slightly higher temperature, ranging from 70-75 °F. The temperature is carefully monitored to provide cyclists a safe but challenging workout environment. Please bring a towel and extra fluids to stay hydrated! However, we seriously value the safety of our students and understand this class may not be suitable for all students. Please choose the class that is right for you.
