Roll Model Method Training 4/20 & 4/21

The Roll Model® Method Training is a complete 2-day (16 hour) training course which combines the two live Roll Model Method Trainings, The Science of Rolling & Ball Sequencing & Innovation, into one complete immersive experience.  



What do you learn?

This combined training series will empower you to personally adopt and teach simple yet highly effective self-care regimens for pain-relief and improved performance.  


Day One: The Science of Rolling

Amplify your personal embodiment and learn applicable fascia science, bony landmarks, myofascial junctions, and pain physiology. Master specialized ball rolling techniques that penetrate into common high-tension areas. You will learn 6 head-to-toe series proven to affect profound change in the rotator cuff, upper back, neck, jaw, hips, lower back, IT Band, calves, and feet.

 

Day Two: Ball Sequencing & Innovation

Provide a wide variety of soft-tissue self-care solutions for every client and condition while utilizing the four different sized Roll Model® Therapy Balls. Learn to effortlessly craft innovative moves and sequences to differentiate your teaching for any individual or community.


Highlights of this training include:


Deepen your understanding of pain physiology and learn the optimal use of 4 different sized Roll Model® Balls (included with the training) to unravel patterns of pain and dysfunction.

Refine your anatomical fluency of bony landmarks, muscular attachments, and the fascial seam-system through experiential mapping strategies to enhance your teaching and personal daily practice.

Explore pain-erasing self-myofascial release in over-used areas of your body like your hands and knees, or completely ignored areas like the diaphragm and pelvic floor.

Learn the art of crafting test/retest scenarios to provide instant feedback of improved function or reduced pain

Learn tools for consistently creating innovative Therapy Ball sequences for yourself and your clients

Improve classroom demonstration of Therapy Ball techniques and trouble-shoot classroom pitfalls and challenges when presenting to beginners or more experienced students.

Reiki I (5/3) and Reiki II (5/17)

Usui/Holy Fire® III Reiki I & II Training

This beginning training is one of the most thorough and comprehensive available. It is a combination of the Western style as introduced by Mrs. Takata, the Japanese Reiki Techniques and the Holy Fire® healing energy. On completion of the class, you will be able to give Reiki treatments to yourself and others. 


The class is a combination of lecture, discussion, demonstration and practice time. Each student experiences giving and receiving a complete treatment using Byosen scanning and the hand placement system. Practice time is given.


A class manual and a certificate are included.

In the process of learning to be a healer, we'll be practicing on each other and receive healing as well. This is a wonderful class for the beginner and is also valuable for those who have already taken Reiki training.

April 19th Women's Circle - The Wisdom of the Crescent Moon Bear & Sacred Rage


This month we will be looking at the theme of emotional honesty, with a focus on feminine anger and rage.  Often we don't have the words to express exactly what we feel or know how to get in touch with emotions that may have been pushed down for a time. For many women, accessing the feeling or expression of anger and rage is particularly challenging.  This is because in our society it has not been socially acceptable for women and girls to possess, let alone express these emotions.  Women and girls are often shamed, told they are wrong,  put down or even called names for having these completely normal feelings and expressions.  All emotions are healthy and need to be moved through the body. These feelings are our teachers, and they have a lot to tell us about what is important to us, where our boundaries are and may alert us to when we do not feel good about something in our world.  When emotions are repressed, pushed down or held back, they can bring us out of balance and can even make us sick.  


During the circle we will make space to honor the need to feel and express our emotions, especially challenging ones, with support and mindful care.  Participants will be led through meditative and somatic exercises to feel into the body's wisdom.  Through ritual work each woman will be guided on a path back toward her emotional truth and given opportunity for inner dialogue and connection with others in order to integrate any long-held emotions asking for acknowledgement and expression.



Please bring a journal, a pen and an item for the altar that represents your desire for emotional balance, honesty and integrity in your life.  Items for the altar will be returned to you at the end of the evening.

Becky is a clinical mental health counselor, ADTA-registered Dance Movement Therapist, life coach, public speaker, activist for survivors of sexual abuse, and founder of Bravedancing, which offers classes, trainings, private consultations, and retreats in Kripalu Yoga, dance, meditation, and other healing modalities. Rebecca has been leading women's circles for ten years. 


About the Monthly Women's Circle:


In our monthly women’s circle we intend to create a space to gather, support and celebrate one another as fellow women. There are so many demands upon our lives, and having a soft place to land in a circle of support is essential. We recognize the growing call for women to step into their power, take full responsibility for their lives, and move forward into the work each one of us deep down knows we are meant to do in this lifetime. The more women are given opportunities to be in the flow of giving their gifts while at the same time receiving the support they need as they do so, the more our families, communities and world benefit.


This women’s gathering is a wonderful and inclusive place to make meaningful connections with women of all ages. Each person who comes contributes to the uniqueness of the circle, therefore YOU are an essential part!

In & Through Harmony & Hues - Sound Workshop - Fri 4/26 6:30pm

Kelly Nicholson is back with her band and a new twist, some of you may have been on the receiving end of Kelly’s Intuitive Art - Harmonic Portrait Readings. She is now putting the colors of creation in your hands!

She will share about her process and how it is something we can all do!  You don’t have to consider yourself an artist or intuitive to create from a space beyond thought and tap into the freedom found there. 


Join us for an evening of expression and decompression.  In & Through Harmony & Hues is an exploration into the dreamy world of your consciousness through meditative rest and creativity. We will ease inward to then create a flow of color on paper all while soaking in the vibrations of Sacred Sound. 


An evening of Sacred Sound while you scribble, drifting while your doodle & easing into your expression! Open to the healing possibilities of play as you expand your imagination, tap into your intuition & deepen into a meditative state to create.


There is no right or wrong here, no experience necessary. This is a place to create space inside the mind, move emotions, if needed, and draw outside the lines. It is in and through the sound we go and out and through the hues, we harmonize. 


We will begin by dropping in with a guided meditation and visualization. You’ll then be invited to begin your flow on paper, while being serenaded in a sea of frequency and vibration, supporting the relaxation of your body, the easing of your mind, and activation of your senses that will be your guide through this process. We will then end the evening in rest. 


Let’s shift from all the seriousness of adulting and have some fun with childlike play!!

This intro class will be a group training offering some of the training activities you may experience in your private or small group training sessions, including: obstacles, agility, plyometrics and more!

Join Jen for a Pop-Up HIIT (high intensity interval training) class!

This 45 minute high-intensity interval training workout uses a step platform and dynamic body weight exercises. 

Designed to increase power, build endurance and burn tons of calories - a perfect complement to strength training workouts.

The challenging class is fast-paced and will push your body to its limits - and have a lot of fun!
